Écueil du MorneLe Grenier de Tante Anne
The work depicts a view of the Morne mountain in the background seen from the coral reefs In the forefront. A combination of painting and Freestyle crochet and knitting. At times felt was used for finer details. An assembly of various shapes of corals and sealife made from cotton,wool and acrylic yarns. The items were glued then stitched onto the painted canvas.
The awareness of the Preservation of our coral reefs and sealife on our precious island is the main objective of this artwork designed and created by a group of students dedicated to nurturing our sealife . We used various bright colors,shapes and textures to relay our diversity in all its beauty enhancing movement and life.
