Encorail

This piece is part of a series made in La Réunion, where I spent short stays between 2015 and 2020. In certain conditions, being abroad pushes me to produce more artworks than staying « at home ». And ironically, it may be about having something to write home about. Creating is for me a way to trace « traits d’union » between here, there and elsewhere. That is also what the ocean does, somehow, whilst inviting us to wonder how, what and when to cross without causing damage. Encorail anchors and (l)inks at least two sides of a living question.
