I used air dry clay to make the corals, seashells, tentacles etc, while adding bits of everyday plastic that often end up in our oceans. I chose to make a mask to represent how each and everyone of us are responsible for the current state of our marine ecosystem. A mask is anonymous, anyone of us could be behind it. A once beautiful symphony of creatures is now suffering because of the actions of it’s wearer, us.
