”our amazing coral ecosystems ”-
Valery art galleryMy semi- realist artwork represents the beauty of our amazing coral ecosystems and its natural vibrant colors reflected by the undersea world .This effect is done though the rays of the sun penetrating water . Through my artwork, I also wanted to demonstrate the species which are dependent on corals, such as : the marine tortoise which does not only rely on corals for survival (food), but also for shelter, (habitat). My work , however, is much more than a mere representation of marines exquisite beauty, it is also a depiction of global warming effect on corals which causes a major stress leading to coral bleaching. I liaise and honor my work with the recent mass bleaching events of great barriers reef . As you can see, one side of my painting shows vibrant colors of the beautiful marine life while the other half of my artwork demonstrates coral bleaching through the shift using the color brown to emphasize on dark atmosphere and a change in techniques which is paper cutting as we see red papercutting corals, turn into pink and then almost losing its color completely, turning white.
