Paradise Scarred
K. G. RamsurrunThe MV Wakashio shipwreck, in 2020, caused oil spill that affected the delicate balance of our marine and coastal ecosystem. The ship is represented as a shadow filter through which we can see the consequences of the oil spill on our flora, fauna and economic activities of local fishermen. The beauty, interdependency and links between plants, animals and human beings are depicted so that the viewer learn to respect, protect, restore and preserve our paradise, unfortunately scarred.
