Photo taken in the Vallée d'Osterlog, one of the rare places left on the island of Mauritius where some indigenous flora can still be seen. What strikes me on this landscape is the fragile condition of our rare indigenous plants such as our precious ebony which seem to be taken over slowly but surely by the invasive "Arbres du Voyageur" on one side. I hope this brings our attention to the fragility of our ecosystem and why we should not meddle with it and bring in new species in our flora and fauna.
