Durrell's Night Gecko is endemic to Round Island, Mauritius. In 2016 I spent a week on Round Island, filming for my nature documentary Mystic Mauritius, and was fortunate enough to witness this night gecko hunting micromoths. This was snapped just after it gobbled up a tasty moth, as you can see a tiny bit of the moth peaking out from its mouth! I love the detail in the eye, as well as the almost human hand you see in the out of focus background.
