When the coral spoke to me I saw a bust. I then sculpted the neck & applied to it a head formed out of my favored material these days, wire mesh. It’s flexibility allowed for the snug interface between transparency & solid, it was tied into the perforations of the coral so tightly as to express a leaching parasite… that of mankind onto nature with all its overriding effects of elimination & substitution.
