The artist uses the Greek mythology Chimera to depict a Mauritian woman and endemic plants and animals, creating a sense of belonging and connection. The painting also features birds in a defensive posture, submerged by invasive plants and animals, symbolizing the danger they pose. The red circle behind the main figure represents the invasive aspect, while the extinct dodo is added as a gold ornament to show its value and timelessness. The artist urges people to act to protect our endemic wildlife and prevent their extinction.
